Interior & Exterior Painting in Oxford
Rooms, ceilings, trim, cabinets and exterior surfaces prepped and painted, either as a project by itself or to wrap up a kitchen, basement or whole-house job we're already doing.
(000) 000-0000 — describe the walls and trim you're tired of
Where the Hours Actually Go
On a well-run paint job, more time goes into getting surfaces ready than into rolling color: washing grime off, scraping loose edges, filling nail pops and cracks, sanding gloss and spot-priming stains. Skip that, and the new coat peels or shows every flaw within a year.
Painting can be its own project, or it can close out other work. When it follows a kitchen or basement remodel, the painters are part of the same contract and schedule, so there's no gap while you find and book someone else.
Surfaces We Paint
-
Walls and ceilings
Drywall dings patched, hairline cracks taped and water marks sealed with a stain-blocking primer, so the finish coat goes on even across the whole wall.
-
Trim, doors and cabinetry
Baseboards, casing, interior doors and kitchen or bath cabinets cleaned, deglossed and finished in a durable enamel suited to constant handling.
-
Outside the house
Exterior walls, trim and porch ceilings washed, loose paint scraped back to a sound edge, gaps recaulked and bare wood primed before any color goes on.
Worth Deciding Up Front
-
Older paint layers
Paint from before 1978 can contain lead. If it does, prep is done with lead-safe methods, the dust is contained and cleaned up carefully, and the added time shows in the estimate.
-
Picking a sheen
Glossier finishes wipe clean and suit trim, doors and bathrooms but highlight dents. Flatter finishes hide wall imperfections. We'll suggest a sheen for each surface.
-
Exterior timing
Exterior coats won't bond to damp wood or cure well in a cold snap, so outside days follow the forecast, and we let you know promptly when weather moves one.
Painting Questions
What should we clear out before the painting starts?
Small items, wall hangings and anything fragile. Heavy furniture gets moved toward the middle of the room and covered, and the floors stay protected the whole time.
Is it worth repainting other rooms while a remodel is underway?
Often. The house is already protected and the schedule is set, so adding nearby rooms to a kitchen or basement job usually takes less effort than a separate project later.
Scuffed Trim, Faded Exterior?
Tell us which rooms, surfaces or sides of the house need work and whether it's peeling, scuffed or simply a color you're done with. We'll talk through prep, timing and what affects the cost.
